Recipe for a Successful
Edible Garden - Fall Crops

Even in the heat of summer we need to start thinking about the fall vegetable garden. Mid-August through early September is the time to begin planting fall/cool season crops. Look for transplants of broccoli, cauliflower, kale, and cabbage to plant for an October harvest. Sow seeds for carrots, radishes, and any of the greens like lettuce, spinach, kale, cilantro, and arugula. Greens can be planted every 2 weeks until the end of September for continual harvest into November. Fall seeds and transplants begin to arrive at The Plant Kingdom in mid-August.
